Redang Island is famous for its crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, and the tropical fish that inhabit the numerous reefs, many within 50 feet of the shore.In contrast to the neighboring Pulau Perhentian, Redang has a more upmarket image, as almost all accommodation on the island is resort-based. The largest beach is Pasir Panjang on the east side, featuring half a dozen resorts. However, on the south end this beach usually has more choppy water and the beaches will have more debris than the beaches around the bend to the north. The snorkeling is also found to the north of Pasir Panjang. Scheduling your vacation around the summer school break will mean drastically fewer people at the resorts and it would not be uncommon on the beaches on the north end of the beach for you to be one of only a handful of people if not the only person on the beach.

Haven't been shooting for the past few weeks and was determined to satisfy my hunger for portraits not portraits of those models or fashion shots but natural environmental portraits.. and this time.. I went back to the Island where i got my first fame- The photo taken from that island that has given me the fame.

And this time.. I went back with my buddy Littar.. According to him, he has been working in Kelang for so long but has not been to Pulau Ketam and so we planned this trip with a bunch of young and energetic photographers from a local Chinese photography forum..

Well, this trip has really satisfy my hunger for natural environment portraits already.. And to the guys out there.. Nice knowing you all ... Looking forward to more outing with you guys in the future.

Haven't been updating my blog recently due to my busy schedule.. and many have been asking me to either delete this blog... Anyway.. I found some time to spare and i went over to Subang Lake to shoot some landscapes of the 1st light of the day.. This means the early morning sky and also the calm ambience of the lake itself..

Well, I set my alarm clock to ring at 6am and rushed on to that place with an empty stomach.. Took nearly an hour to reach, to scout for a location and also to set up.. and this is what i got....

I guess waking up early in the morning isn't a bad thing after all.. I guess im gonna frame this picture and hang it on the wall..

Fahrenheit - Fantasy World Tour Live in Malaysia 2009 Concert

Despite sitting at home and enjoying Earth Hour by switching off the lights.. I drove all the way down to Stadium Putra in Bukit Jalil to shoot this concert.. 1st time shooting a concert held by this group of energetic boy band from Taiwan. Due to the fact that this event is gonna be crowded with their fans from all over the nation I arrived early to secure my media pass and also to scout for nice angles.. and oh yea.. I took an assistant with me and I was amazed by the pictures that she took as she has never went out shooting with me before.. =D..

Anyway, the show was nice but could have been better without too many people crowding up on the front stage area.. Finally.. Special thanks to Big Events manager Mr Kenneth for securing 2 media passes for me..

Pulau Ketam : The Island Rediscovered

My first trip to Pulau Ketam a.k.a Crab Island was more than 7 years back.. But back then I still know nothing about photography and all i knew was that island was dirty.. small... crowded.. etc... Well.. I went back to explore that island last year with a bunch of photographer friends.. and after spending few hours there.. I was in love with the place.. The people.. The warm atmosphere of a small fishing village.. People there are friendly and sporting.. The most unique thing I have ever seen is that most of these people travel around the island by bikes.. In fact.. The thing I loved about this island is the 'old' and 'antique' atmosphere around this village.. There are many things that we may not be able to witness anymore in our daily lives and also in the town or cities that we're staying in right now...Many of us usually seem to forget this old vanishing heritage that we or our older generations used to practice..

Basically,I went back to that island again.. And this time.. only my close photographer friend - Uwei tagged along with me.. And inside me lives a mission.. The mission to capture a collection of photos showing the essence of people.. landscapes and not to forget the heritage that might vanish in time.....and most importantly.. The old antique feel of Pulau Ketam..

Hi all.. today's like the last day of 2008 and in another few hours time.. The New Year 2009 is coming.. Well.. this year's been kinda fun for me.. Although there are ups and downs.. But i enjoyed this year till the max.. Many good things happened and also not forgetting the bad and unwanted happenings.. And this year has been special for me as i had started going into DSLR photography.. I got my first camera which is an EOS 400d early March.. and i do remember the times i screwed up my vacation pictures when i forgotten or didn't know how to use a DSLR properly..But i was lucky as i met many pro photographers and sifus who are willing to guide and teach me the art of photography.. and also not forgetting to poison me as well and also my well respected sifu - Mr Zamrud.. he is the one who taught me the art of post processing or PP to enhance the pictures.. To all of you who has guided me in photography.. I would like to say thank you... It was a pleasure knowing you guys.. and it was nice of you all to teach a noob like me.. =D

Received a phone call from my sifu last week asking me to shoot his friend's son's birthday party.. And of course.. I couldn't believe my ears when i heard that.. and i agreed on the spot.. Yesterday.. we met up at Mid Valley and then went to The Gardens where the party was held.. The host and hostess were friendly and I have no fears working and shooting for them.. and the birthday boy - Jason.. Was an energetic and cute little baby.. Although it was tough to work with him as there were times when he didn't want to cooperate and started crying.. But in the end of the day.. It was still fun and i enjoyed the shoot..

In the end.. I want to thank my respected sifu for inviting me to join him on this shoot.. and also the baby's parents' - Ms Wendy and her Husband for allowing us to shoot this memorable event..

Another successful photo outing organized by an experienced photographer Master Zamrud.. It's said to be the biggest of all 2008 photo outings when 40 forum members turned up for that event.. It is said to be a street and heritage shoot when someone brought along a model... and in the end most of us portraiture lovers started shooting the model.. As for me .. i shot the model and also tons of street scenes.. and i think my model pics don't look that great anymore.. =P.. In the end I must say this is a very interesting and the best outing that i attended so far... Thanks to my 'sifu' - Master Zamrud for organizing this event.. and to all of those who had turned up.. it was a pleasure meeting all of you there.. and to our model for the day- Gen.. Thank you for willing to allow us to photo shoot you..

Monsoon Cup 2008 (Part 1)

Hi all...sorry for the lack of updates recently as i was away for the past few weeks... Just came back from Langkawi 2 days ago and im like so tired to sort out my pictures and blog.. Well.. i guess i will start with my pictures from Terengganu.. This time i went back to my hometown not only to visit my uncle and relatives but to shoot one of the world's richest sailing event - Monsoon Cup.. (http://www.monsooncup.com.my/)

This mission is tough as it's raining almost everyday due to the monsoon season which hits the east coast states.. But then, the day is nice and sunny on the race day.. and i managed to get on board with the skippers.. with the help of Joseph which is a TV news broadcaster from France.. After all the safety procedures are done we were sent up on deck by an English boatman.. I happened to went up to Team Malaysia's yacht and it is the only team led by a female leader...

The ride was fun and the crew was friendly.. As they were busy fighting the tides and waves.. i was busy snapping away.. and ended up with some seawater splashing on my camera..gosh.... I was amazed by their teamwork and the team leader - Nurul Ain.. They are able to coordinate so well with their teammates and the team fighting spirit really amazed me..

Next.. the pictures will do the talking..Most of these batch are action shots and i promise you all more will come on my next update.. =D

Processing Towards Perfection..

Wassup readers... I know i haven't been blogging for the past few weeks.. kinda busy with exams and assignments.. and oh yea.. my final exams are due next week... and I am still here busy playing with Photoshop Post Processing (PP).. Well.. I started PP-ing my photos ever since i met Master Zamrud from an outing organised my fellow Shutterasia members.. And to be honest.. I never liked PP-ing photos of models as those pimples.. wrinkles.. etc can make my life miserable... and in the end the final output sucks.. People mostly say my skin tones are uneven.. blotching.. 'overcooked'.. etc..

But then.. I just discovered a new and fast technique of PP-ing my model pictures.... The fastest and easiest way to eliminate the inperfections of the face... Saves me alot of time... and most importantly.. it does the job naturally without destroying the natural texture of the human skin.. and after that.. all i need is some time to dodge and burn my pics in Photoshop..

Cut the story short... These are the effects of my works... Although i do not shoot models anymore.. but then those pics i shot before can be tested for this purpose..

Went to Sunway Pyramid with Uwei to collect our passes for the Memories of Sunway Photo Competiton.. Met up with Qi Hong and his ex- Joling.. and his soon to be girl friend.. Well, we started our photoshoot soon after a quick lunch in Kim Gary's.. As we was walking around the mall looking for angles to shoot.. We heard some noises of people performing near the stage in the new wing.. Rushed there and saw TV3 doing a shoot for Deepavali.. Saw the host for Kelab Disney Malaysia.. Don't know her name though.. but she's sporting enough to pose for me to shoot.. I must say she have a very nice and natural smile.. Perfect model for portrait shoot.. =P

One thing i can say about my pass... This thing is superb.. We gained free access to Sunway Lagoon,.. Thought of going back there with a waterproof compact camera and surfpants to play.. =P...Anyway.. there is a newly built Safari Zone inside Sunway Lagoon.. Many kinds of animals to shoot.. touch and play with.. Actually this photo outing is much better than the previous KL Birdpark outing.. The animals here are more sporting and camera friendly i guess...=p

KLPF - Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival 2008

Went to this event yesterday in Berjaya Times Square in KL.. To be frank.. This is the first photography fair or exhibition i've ever been to.. The place is like so big!!.. So many pros giving talks and seminars... So many big retailers selling stuff at a cheap price... Went there with my college mate Kent and met my uncle who flew all the way from Terengganu to attend this Photo Fest..

Well.. i passed by a booth selling studio lights and has been asked to pose as a model...

Nice huh??.. I know my posing skills sucks... =P.. and besides all these.. i get to test the newly launched EOS 5d Mark II from Canon.. To me.. that piece of machine rocks... The details are superb and the video quality can match a video camera's quality...

SS2 Sunday Street Shooting

Woke up early and went to SS2 with my college friend- Kent and some PhotoMalaysia Forum members.. Met new friends and 2 more Canon Kakis..=P.. Managed to test out the performance of my new Baby 'L'iz... and i must say ther performance is superb from the time feel it till u grab the shot.. The AF is fast and silent .. The colors and contrast is sweet and the 'Bokeh' or background blur and sharpness is fantastic...

Anyway.. most of my portrait shots of people are shot using my trusty Tammy SP-90mm as i need more distance to snipe from far and also I prefer to shoot portraits using prime lenses.. Anyway.. The pics will do the talking as i am lazy to elobrate more... =P

Also known as 'Butt Farm'... A miniature lush garden planted with various types of plants. The KL butterfly farm is home to thousands of butterflies and many other insects.. So, i decided to explore this place again with Wai Ye on the 2nd day of raya.. Reached there in the morning and our eyes are being captivated by the colors of the colorful butterflies. Quickly i set up my gears and started shooting.. My weapons this time includes my trusty Tammy SP90mm and a DIY macro light diffuser..

The pics will show you the colors of the magnificent insects we saw that day.. Pardon as i did not shot many butterflies as i supposed to be shooting in a Bufferfly Park as these insects are less cooperative and will nvr stay still to let me shoot... =P

Went there yesterday with my friends Yew Wei, En Lin and Howard.. Met up a Nikon user which is also Howard's friend Zi Yin.. A cool guy with cool Nikkor glasses..*drool*.. The trip was fun as we went there during weekdays and also during Raya week so not much visitors except for a few foreign tourists.. Tried our luck at bird shooting but these birds there did not seem to cooperate with us.. they either just fly away or turned away and i ended up with most of my shots out of focus and blur.. i think i need a long telephoto lens with Image Stabilizer function.. Anyway, some of the pics seem good with minor editing and processing.. Love the bokeh (the out of focus baackground effect) of my trusty Tammy SP90 macro lens.. 1st time hearing people macro-ing birds huh??..

Went and shot the event with Uwei and Howard in SS15.. This event is mainly about Preventing violence against women and help to prevent the spread of STD's through sex. Durex sponsored a whole lot of condoms to be given out..Many local artistes were also present for the event.. Anyway.. Went there and met up with Rodney, my college's Server Room manager and his bro from Inti University Nilai.. Managed to get hold of his brother- Donny's L lens.. The legendary 70-200 f.8 IS L USM.. That monster sinper weighs a whole of 2kg's and made my hands tired and aching..Well most of the pictures here are shot using the 70-200 and 17-55 lens..

Went and shot the event with Yew Wei and Howard.. Although we missed quite a few performances in the beginning but the event is not bad.. i would give it an 8/10 rating.. =P.. The magic and acrobatics performance from China rocks.. When will Metropolitan College have this kind of event??..=(

Anyway, as usual i will bring my Canny along to shoot the event.. Although no nice pics this round, but i found out the challenges and enjoyment of composing and shooting events using Prime lenses... The pics are mostly shot using Tammy SP 90mm Macro lens and my usual workhorse 50mm f1.8..

Went out to Sunway Pyramid again.. with 3 leng luis and 2 malat lou.. Well this time is like a gathering organized by Wan Shin for her friends Elizabeth and Pau Ching..Well since Qi Hong's going and he's also going off to Malacca to further his studies to become a pilot, i just decided to tag along and see him before he goes off.. He and Yew Wei are both friends of mine since primary school..

The outing went smoothly and pretty fine until we went for a movie - Money Not Enough 2 ... The show was pretty funny and touching in the end.. Everything went on fine until... I LOST MY PHONE.. wth??.. i don't even know how it went missing till the show ended.. and everyone was like so busy helping me looking for it.. but we couldn't find as i believed the person swtched off my phone.. Sad rite?? but im ok with it as my phone is kinda old already and maybe its time for a new phone i guess!.and come to think of it as he did not took my Canny which would cost me more..

Anyway thanks to you guys for helping me to find the phone i appreciate yr effort although we failed to locate the phone.. Well.. the pics of the day after some camwhoring session..

KL Street Shooting

Went down to KL Central and Chinatown with Guan Sheng and Wai Ye.. It was a very fun outing with both of them... Anyway Guan Sheng came over to my place around 7am and then board the bus to Central Market where Wai Ye was waiting for us at the bus stop... After breakfast, the action begins as we brought up our guns and went shooting in Petaling Street.. and guess what.. i met Elizabeth there.. lol.. fate huh??..=P

The shooting was fun and i was dead tired as i don't know the distance we had walked to get nice landmarks to shoot.. In the end.. my leg was like breaking and my back was aching..Fuhh..!!.. and then Wai Ye suggested we had the famous ice kacang before we end our trip..

MIFC 2008 Team Australia, Putrajaya

Hi readers.... It's been awhile since i last blogged.. Well guess im not in that mood that few days back..Anyway.. Went out with Dominic again to shoot the fireworks in Putrajaya.. It seems that i've missed quite a lot of action and drama from Team Spain's and Canada's performance.. Well.. its ok i guess and i believe Team Australia will not disappoint me with their final performance for this year..

Well.. Reached the Sentul KTM station at around 4.30pm with Yew Wei to meet Dom as he promised us nice space for shooting and Media passes for the night which entitled us for a free Buffet dinner in a restaurant in the PICC building.. Woohoo.. We were the media photographers for the night.. Wonderful.. But.. we need to get there as early as 5pm..

The Sunset and Pre-dawn scenes of Putrajaya..

Well.. after a romantic and beautiful sunset and pre-dawn moment there.. The night falls.. the light slowly fades and before long its totally dark..

Therefore.. We decided to try out some long exposure technique.. light sculpting and creative flash lightings using BULB exposures.. Thanks to all the sifus who shared their secrets with noobs like me.. Dom who was so sporting and ''photogenic'' decided to be my model for the night..

The end result... using BULB mode.. speedlight and mini torchlight..

He looks like a Playboy Rabbit huh??

Anyway.. the long awaited fireworks started around 10pm and to my delight it is nice.. better than Team China i could say.. It was a romantic night for couples who brought their partners.. Entertaining for young kids and Challenging for us as photographers to shoot the scene as the smoke is very thick and its tricky..

But in the end.. i managed a few shots which i am satisfied with.. but i am lazy to process and edit.. The below is my favourite shot of the day.. I hope you readers enjoyed.. =P

Greetings to all.. Thank god its Friday and im so glad it is.. Actually Friday is a very fun day for me.. I just love Fridays so much cos its like the end of the weekdays.. and this leads to my much sought after weekend holiday breaks..and classes usually ends early on Fridays..=P..

Well.. this Friday is no normal usual Friday where i will just go home straight and rest after class or staying back at college with my friends. But this is a very very special Friday as im gonna meet up with a VIP..=P.. and her friends in a majestic shopping complex near my area..Wow!.. and this time im gonna bring my Canny+Tammy combination to shoot the whole outing..=P

Anyway, i managed to reach around 11am as that its the time my classes ended.. and met up with the VIP a.k.a Elizabeth and her friend Serene at the cinema counter to collect our pre-booked cinema tickets..After that i just tagged along with them searching for places to fill our empty stomaches as i did not have breakfast.. After deciding for god knows how long.. we just decided to stop at J'CO's dough nuts to have a simple light breakfast.. As usual, i picked up my cam and started shooting.

After that we just met up with 2 more friends.. SookYee and Caleb.. and since everyone was complaining that they're hungry.. We just decided to go to Sushi King for brunch.. i passed my Canny to SookYee to play with as i was like too lazy to carry it already..=P - The shots below are all taken by her on the way to Sushi King

As we reached Sushi King, we just sat and ordered our food and as its lunchtime. The food took quite awhile to arrive.. and during that time we camwhored..=P.. and for most of you.. its like so impossible to camwhore with a big DSLR .. and so, we just took turns playing and shooting each other.. The 2 gurls is like so jakun when i took out my remote control for my cam and i think they never seen a remote control before and took turns pressing and testing it..=P and from now on i will just let the pic do the taking as i am very very lazy to type already..=)

Hi all.. as i said in my past post, i am getting poisoned by Black and White (B&W) or monotoned images.. Well at first i also thought B&W is a boring form of photography, but after looking at a traditional darkroom and the images it produced, i can say i am tempted..=P

Well.. these few days, i was busy searching pictures that i think can be converted and have the potential to be a B&W pic.. and i found 3 pics which i think and i feel that the effect of B&W is going to be perfect on them.. I guess you guys have already seen the original picture in color in the older posts and i am also lazy to repost them too and if u want to compare please look back at my older posts.. and lastly.. Enjoy my 1st noob generation of B&W pictures..

One Day Trip to Ulu Langat

A boring Sunday... Called Dom early in the morning to confirm the time to meet him and about the trip to Ulu Langat.. I was actually like debating whether should i go or not.. And since everyone is busy today.. Then i went in the end as Uwei didn't wana follow.. Went to the KTM station alone in Subang and waited for like 1-2 hours for that stupid train to arrive.. WTH?.. wasting time right??.. and the stupid Malaysian government is like doing nothing but only encourage the people to take public transports instead of driving..

Well, after sitting in the crowded train for an hour i finally i reached Sentul KTM station where Dom and his gang was waiting for me there. pheww.. lucky i was on time if not sure kena screw 'backside' from Dom.. =P.. Met a new friendly fella there Edmund as he was our driver for the day and also a Sony Alpha user..=(

Well, we stopped by a waterfall first as Dom wanted to collect some aquatic plants and rocks for his aquarium.. I set up my tripod and screwed in my ND filter to get long exposures of the magical waterfalls..

And also we spotted a few unusual insects around the waterfall area.. I changed my Macro lens and used a plate diffuser to snap some small insects.. I think i was the only one with macro lens..And i am happy with the results it produces outside..

Well, we stayed there quite long.. and in the end we had no time to shoot the Orang Asli which is living in a settlement nearby as Dom suggested us to head to the Semenyih Dam to catch the sunset.. After another 30 minutes journey in the car we finally reached..

Malaysia International Fireworks Competition (MIFC) - Team China

Some small info on this interesting event http://www.mifc.com.my/mifc08/index.html. Went there on Saturday evening with Dominic and his gang brought Yew Wei along also.. At first i thought we aren't gonna go there anymore as i lead him to use the longer way to get to Putrajaya. Well, the next thing is that his car refused to speed and keeps dying everytime it exceeds 60kmph.. WTH??... i thought all of us are gonna get down and help him push the car all the way back to his house in Sentul.. But thank god we did not and we aren't gonna too.. Anyway reached his so called cheap 200k serviced condos in Sentul and managed to switch cars to continue our journey to Putrajaya..

We arrived there kinda early and managed to eat something sold at the stores nearby.. Its like a mini bazaar while waiting for the sky to turn dark.. While doing so, we kinda look out for our nice spots to camp our gears but those security people keep chasing and shooing us off.. We had no choice but to keep walking to find our spot to camp.. in the end we managed to climb up to the PICC building to camp on the slope after walking about 4-6km.. Saw alot of pros with their white bazookas and red rings but no sign of black gold ringed ones.. =P.. Way to go Canon.. Show N**on the power of the white side.. =P

Anyway.. My fireworks shots did not turn out well as i expected but don't worry i will be back next week.. Lol.. If possible i could bring someone else along as it is a very nice and romantic show tonight... =P...

The Colors Of Chinatown Terengganu ( Part 2)

Its Friday today!!.. I'm kinda happy as college ended at 9am today .. Quite early huh.. Nikolas came and picked me up at MCD SS15 and took me to check out the photo studio in Segi College.. I must say the studio is spectacular as there is like so many big light tents and backdrops. Besides that, it is one big spacious studio also.. While at the College we also managed to check out the darkroom which is used in olden days to produce quality black and white photos.. Wow!.. i must say this is the first time experience for me as i have never been into a darkroom before.. =P.. Anyway, the results of the prints produced in a traditional darkroom is far much better than those produced in Photoshop.. Well, i think im getting poisoned by black and white photography already..=)

Anyway, today is a boring day managed to finish the PP work for few more pictures.. and i think i left a few more RAW files in my hard disk that needs to be converted and PP-ed... Gahhhh.. I'll do it tonight.. =D

The Faces and People Of Terengganu ( Part 2 )

Yesterday was unbelievable. Got a call from Enlin in the morning and was told that my 50mm Cannie lens which broke into 2 pieces that day was ready for collection and the best part is.. Canon replaced a new lens for me.. That's right..new.. and absolutely brand new and for free.. When i first saw my baby i noticed the exterior is totally free of scratches and the optics are perfect.. Woohoo.. new lens and way to go Canon..You're delighting Me always.. =P... Anyway, managed to collect my Tammy 17-50 f2.8 after i finished college.. That lens is superb.. Sharp, solid, Spectacular.. Although kinda noisy during focusing but the sharp pictures produced made me feel worth it for an affordable f2.8 fast aperture lens..=P

Managed to finish some PP work for some of my street portraiture in Terengganu as i might be getting busy when my class starts... Woohoo.. im back people.. just reached home this morning from my 1 week photo shooting holidays in Terengganu and 1 day shooting models in Kota Bahru.. Hmmm, thinking back about things that happened last week.. I almost screwed my holidays when i reached the airport last Thursday only to find out that the flight i was supposed to board was on Wednesday.. WTH??.. i was shocked at first but after that managed to go on for my holidays after purchasing another "super expensive" flight ticket on the spot which costs me 200 bucks..Haih, there goes my money for my carelessness..=( Anyway, something sweet happened on the 2nd day.. =P.. just wana thank that person for giving me a sweet time..=P..thanks alot and I appreciate it alot.. Love ya..<3..

Anyway, Shot alot of photos..but i will only edit and PP them tomorrow as today im seriously tired and lazy to do PP work.. Well, after this weekend is gonna be back to school time and this means less photo shooting outings and activities ='(

Went out with a few photo kakis to Orchid Park yesterday. After the others left.. Followed 2 guys Mr Zamrud and Fariz to KL Central Market for street shooting.. After that, went to Mr Zamrud's house in Sungai Long and he thought me how to do PP (post -processing for the photos). Reached home around 10 and wad too tired to do anything.. Anyway, tried the technique Mr Zam taught me on the 2 pics which i think was the best..

Anyway,.. there are more to come. Will update soon when i am more free to do PP work.. Special thanks to Mr Zamrud for teaching me PP and Fariz for the drinks.. =P

Went to Sunway Pyramid today, not for shopping but to meet up with my 'sifu' Mr Liew as he happened to be in Subang.. Lol.. lucky went there just to meet him as i only brought 5 bucks for my bus fare only.. After learning his skills and chit chatting in Starbucks, two of us got bored and went around Sunway Pyramid shooting.. This is the 1st time im walking around the shopping complex without shopping bags but with my Canny..=P

Hi all.. at last, my finals over already.. Woohoo!!.. Today, went out for my first macro safari with the leng chai Jonathan.. went to Taman Rimba Kiara in Taman Tun.. anyway, there weren't much to shoot at first.. but then as soon as we explored deeper in the park, we found these........

Morning people..

Ahh... morning..A brand new day..A new beginning.. A head start of everything.. And today, is the start of my final exams (wish me luck man).. Well nothing much to blog about but a picture to share with all of you..

Took this shot during my holidays in Terengganu. Managed to wake up around 5am to go to the beach in Marang (small town nearby) to wait for this sunrise. Managed to capture the moment. In the end, went home and was put down with fever.. Sad right?? ='(

Anyway, the pic turned out nice and i felt it was worth it afterall i've gotten a nice picture.. =D

Woke up late today.. someone sms-ed me to wake me up, and when i looked at the time is like 10.30 already.. wow!!.. i've never slept till so late. Anyway, went out to Giant to get my pack of styrofoam plates i've been looking for since the past few months.

Well if you're wondering why am i looking for these plates then i shall tell you all.. These plates are used as my DIY macro ring light or macro strobes for shooting small bugs when the ambient lighting is low.

Here's an idea of my macro set up..

Can't wait for the 1 week exams to pass then i'll be going on a Macro Safari .. anyone interested to follow??..

Saturday people.. today's like the weekend already and i have 1 more day which is tomorrow till my final exams week.. anyway.. today ended up in MPSJ library to do self study.. and its like so so so boring.. =(

To cut the long story short, i went home today all dirty and tired.. don't feel like studying anymore and instead took out my Canny and went shooting in my mini 'studio'. At 1st did not know what to shoot but in the end i turned over my drybox and found a few stuff to shoot.. as usual..set up my perfect aperture and shutter and also my ambient lighting.. and the end results....
